About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support lineman apprentices and journeymen with ground support
- Hand tools, ropes, and hardware to linemen working on poles or in bucket trucks
- Dig holes for utility poles, clear brush, and pad ditches
- Load and unload equipment
- Transport equipment
- Stock materials
- Drive commercial vehicles and fuel vehicles
- Maintain and care for tools and equipment
- Gain understanding of materials, applications, tools, and the line trade
- Perform site preparation, excavation, and construction cleanup
- Work toward qualifying for Q3 Contracting’s Lineman Apprenticeship program
Requirements
What you’ll need- Class A CDL
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Experience working with ropes/knots
- Preferred understanding of DOT regulations
- Candidates are subject to drug testing
- Available start date for November 2026
