About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform tasks associated with high voltage electrical lines
- Conduct routine inspections, modification, installation and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and facilities
- Care for and inspect overhead and underground distribution structures, tools, gear and equipment
- Construct and install poles and various components
- Dig, guy pole structures, perform maintenance procedures, handle and rig conductors, splice, set and frame poles
- Switch and energize various facilities
- Follow strict safety standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- CDL – Class A
- Clean driving record
- Must provide your own tools and gear
- Lineman certification or completion of Lineman school and any previous apprenticeship hours
- Travel to various job site locations is required and may warrant overnight stays
- Demonstrate climbing techniques and procedures
- Strong organizational and documentation practices
- Highly motivated and able to self-direct
- Willingness to function as part of a team
- Subject to drug testing
