About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform daily site inspections and prepare inspection and other required reports
  • Develop I.T.P.s and ensure project I.T.P. requirements and sign-offs are completed
  • Perform and report visual, dimensional control, material verification, incoming, final, and punch-list inspections
  • Record and report non-conformances and participate in investigations and corrective action resolution
  • Compile quality documents for job files and turnover packages
  • Assist with welder and craftsman training on quality requirements
  • Coordinate welder testing and record and file results
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits
  • Advise production personnel of inspection results
  • Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and user groups
  • Participate in safety procedures, hazard identification, and reporting protocols
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial construction experience
  • Previous experience developing I.T.P's and completing final turnover
  • CWB welding inspector qualification — CSA W178.2 Level 2
  • Sound knowledge of N.D.E. processes used in the industry
  • Sound knowledge of ASME B31.3 pressure piping code and regulatory requirements
  • Sound knowledge of CSA W59 Structural Steel Codes
  • Knowledge of CSA Z662 and NACE Level 1 or 2 considered an asset
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company professionally and courteously
  • Organized and self-motivated
