Key responsibilities & impact

Implement project-specific quality control programs for compliance with applicable codes and project specifications
Set up complete project QC tracking systems, including weld, NDE, rejection rate, and civil tracking logs
Perform Quality System training at office and field site locations
Set up pressure test packages by system and pressure
Prepare complete project turnover packages for each discipline
Manage field support inspectors
Manage subcontractors and their approved quality programs
Manage and schedule NDE contractors, third-party special inspections, and NDE activities including RT, PT, MT, and UT
Manage special inspections for city, county, and government requirements
Manage non-conformance reports and work with the owner on resolutions
Manage materials and equipment for storage and preservation requirements
Manage and qualify welders
Manage weld rod control and storage per the QC program
Manage welding procedures as approved by the project owner
Maintain welding continuity for all welders

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of QA/QC field inspection related to construction, power plant construction, concrete/civil, petro chemical, mechanical & power industry
Minimum AWS CWI certification
ACI training/certification
Strong understanding of related codes, including ASME I, B31, AWS, API, AWWA, and NFPA
Knowledge of concrete testing and inspections
Certification or experience in reviewing/interpreting RT film related to the code of construction
Fully understand safety as it relates to construction activities
