About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Grow the audience and community around The Compute 100 among founders, engineers, researchers, and investors shaping compute
  • Deepen and accelerate The Compute 100’s content and expand its presence among relevant communities
  • Track companies, investments, technical shifts, thought pieces, and conversations in AI infrastructure and compute
  • Write and publish social and editorial content across X, LinkedIn, and newsletter-style formats
  • Turn partner conversations, portfolio developments, podcast discussions, and events into content across multiple formats and channels
  • Develop informed perspectives on market activity, gaps in the conversation, and opportunities for The Compute 100 to contribute
  • Coordinate podcast production details, including concepts, guest sourcing, editorial preparation, asset dissemination, and promotion
  • Plan and run Bay Area dinners, salons, and meetups, managing guest lists, venues, communications, timelines, run of show, and follow-up
  • Build relationships with founders, engineers, researchers, investors, and compute communities in San Francisco
  • Recommend where Primary should participate and manage its presence
  • Maintain content and event calendars and manage dependencies between workstreams
  • Partner with the broader marketing team on firm-wide messaging and with the Compute pod on positioning, narrative, and community strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–3+ years of experience across content, editorial, community, or events
  • Genuine fluency in and curiosity about AI infrastructure and compute
  • Active network of builders, thinkers, and doers in San Francisco
  • Strong writing and editorial instincts; ability to process information, separate signal from noise, and shape clear perspectives quickly
  • Experience building audiences through X, newsletters, and podcasts
  • Experience planning and running in-person events from concept through follow-up
  • Ability to move between strategic recommendations and tactical activation
  • Exceptional organization, including communications plans, production timelines, and dependency tracking
  • Comfort operating without an existing playbook
  • Active, hands-on use of AI tools across content, research, and planning workflows
  • Speed, curiosity, resourcefulness, and bias toward action
  • Able to work in person at least 3 days per week in San Francisco
  • Sponsorship question indicates work authorization may be required for the United States
