Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including Windows Server environments and enterprise systems
Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID environments
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, and identity management
Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies
Monitor system performance, availability, and infrastructure health
Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft 365 services and Azure environments
Manage Microsoft Intune and endpoint management solutions
Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender and endpoint and email security solutions
Support cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and Microsoft technology deployments
Improve infrastructure through cloud adoption and automation
Implement cybersecurity best practices and security controls
Support security assessments, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening
Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and network security solutions
Monitor security alerts and investigate infrastructure and endpoint security issues
Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, server, cloud, and networking issues
Own escalated technical issues through resolution
Lead or participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, deployments, and modernization projects
Work directly with clients to understand requirements and recommend solutions
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and infrastructure diagrams
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and technical knowledge base articles
Improve infrastructure performance, security, and operational processes
Complete projects and assigned tasks within agreed timelines and requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 4 years of experience in Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, or IT Infrastructure support
Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments
Solid experience with Windows Server administration and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access management
Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, and switching
Experience working with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, particularly with complex infrastructure issues
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients and technical teams
Strong documentation skills and the ability to manage multiple technical tasks and meet project deadlines
Willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and customer-specific applications
Preferred: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure
Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management solutions
Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and endpoint/email security technologies
Preferred: Experience with PowerShell scripting and IT automation
Preferred: Previous experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT services environment
Preferred: Experience handling infrastructure migrations, cloud deployments, and modernization projects
Preferred: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft AZ-104, AZ-500, or equivalent certifications
