About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop the Benefit Plan Administration team across multiple lines of business
  • Ensure accurate and consistent programming of benefit plans
  • Manage team performance, project plans, and execution against deadlines
  • Ensure operational goals, performance guarantees, and service level agreements are achieved
  • Assess cross-functional impacts using departmental workflow knowledge
  • Collaborate with customers, members, providers, and internal and external stakeholders to resolve escalated issues
  • Manage employee performance through scorecards, metrics, feedback, coaching, direction, and development
  • Lead organizational data validation projects supporting system enhancements and release updates
  • Oversee project management, programming, testing, and documentation activities
  • Schedule employees, manage capacity, and coordinate workflow
  • Develop and document workflows, system requirements, impact analyses, system designs, process analyses, and testing
  • Identify reporting needs, document reporting requirements, and test new reporting before production implementation
  • Create and maintain functionality in ticketing systems, benefit landscapes, and workflows
  • Recommend and implement solutions and evaluate results
  • Partner with client-facing teams to resolve concerns and implement improvement opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
  • High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED required
  • 6 years of work experience in operations management, pharmacy benefit management, healthcare, insurance, retail, analytics, or operational compliance
  • 2 years of leadership/people management experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead teams through multiple concurrent projects while meeting strict timelines, SLAs, and performance guarantees
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and business systems used for benefit configuration
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Ability to develop and implement process improvements
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to prepare and deliver documentation, reporting, and audit responses
