About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and operations planning to commercialize new blown film, converted products, and product improvements
  • Design and validate specifications for fit-for-use and fit-for-make requirements
  • Gather and analyze data
  • Lead customer technical calls and visits, and manufacturing/customer trials
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customers
  • Support manufacturing technical needs for existing specifications and provide onsite trial support
  • Contribute to material/process-related root cause investigations
  • Lead divisional initiatives involving new converting and raw material technology
  • Identify and share opportunities for innovative growth within the Printpack technical community
  • Support an innovative, collaborative environment and prioritize internal and external customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Product development or flexible converting experience preferred
  • Engineering or manufacturing experience, flexible packaging (printing/laminating/bag-pouch making/etc.), or a related industry experience in process engineering and/or quality
  • Experience with continuous improvement, driving cost savings, process improvements, and raw material sourcing initiatives
  • Evidence of experience in both innovation and onboarding execution
  • Evidence of relationship building with customers and internal/external stakeholders
  • Evidence of presentation skills and business awareness
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams with business results
