About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage directly with EMTs or Paramedics on the scene of low acuity 911 calls to assess the situation and determine the appropriateness of a telehealth visit
- Coordinate and facilitate seamless telehealth visits between on-scene crew members and medical group professionals
- Operate computer, camera, and microphone equipment to manage video visits and related documentation
- Communicate with healthcare professionals, patients, and emergency responders to ensure accurate information exchange and coordination of care
- Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and prioritization
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and development in telehealth and emergency medical coordination
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in a healthcare setting, telehealth, or emergency response coordination is highly desirable
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to navigate and troubleshoot computer, camera, and microphone systems efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional certification or training in emergency medical services, nursing, or related field is a plus
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, either days or nights, weekends, and holidays, according to a 2/3/2 rotating schedule
