  • Coordinates schedules for multiple procedures and specialties with rehab to best serve patients
  • Schedules patients to maximize therapists' productivity and optimizes visit volumes
  • Follows up with non-respondent patients to schedule initial visits
  • Verifies patient benefits and educates patients on insurance coverage and financial responsibility
  • Calculates cost estimates and discusses payment options and programs
  • Confirms and maintains service authorizations throughout the plan of care
  • Edits patient claims for clean payment submission
  • Collects and posts payments and answers billing questions
  • Responds to and triages therapy referrals based on urgency, location, and specialty
  • Documents authorizations and attaches them to appointments
  • Orders supplies, submits invoices, maintains office cleanliness, and submits work orders
  • Submits end-of-day deposits and accounting information
  • Sorts and addresses incoming mail and maintains the cash box
  • Trains staff on office guidelines and procedures
  • Answers phones and patient voicemails, provides general therapy information, and greets patients
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent or post high school education
  • Two (2) years admissions, billing, collections, insurance and/or customer service
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Word Processing

  • Mathematical Skills
  • Registration and scheduling experience- Preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology- Preferred
