About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage assigned inventories through cycle counts, physical counts, replenishment requisitioning, alternative sourcing, supply usage monitoring, and disposal of obsolete products
  • Maintain communication with supported customers and report inventory discrepancies
  • Manage perpetual, PAR and periodic inventories, including supplies received, stored and issued at designated entities
  • Serve in clinical areas as needed and ensure implementation of inventory control policies
  • Monitor inventory volumes, flow, sourcing, distribution statistics and supply needs
  • Analyze product usage, adjust inventory levels, and communicate potential supply interruptions
  • Monitor product additions, deletions and conversions with departments
  • Evaluate bulk-buy discount opportunities and support cost-saving initiatives
  • Maintain the ERP supplies database with supply chain database management teams
  • Train users on the electronic requisition system as an Informatics Liaison
  • Create and submit monthly and other requested reports
  • Make decisions and recommendations regarding supply shortages while keeping management informed
  • Conduct causative research and reconciliation before preparing reports
  • Maintain and operate automated point-of-use systems
  • Ensure internal control processes across procurement cycle functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Communications or related field of study, or equivalent combination of work/academic experience
  • Two (2) years of related work experience
  • In lieu of the education and experience requirements: six years related work experience OR Associate degree and four years related work experience may be considered
  • Understanding of supply chain requirements in healthcare environments with multiple logistical concerns and issues
  • Organizational, facilitation, communication, interpersonal, planning and project management skills
  • Experience using metrics to drive decisions and working with external vendors
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems effectively and manage multiple high priority deliverables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP software capabilities
