About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft and negotiate moderately complex contracts, including SaaS agreements, Terms of Use, and NDAs, with occasional supervision
  • Conduct legal risk assessments for projects and internal processes
  • Provide legal advice to specific business areas under the guidance of a supervisor
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory updates relevant to the business
  • Participate in the implementation of compliance policies, especially those related to Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD)
  • Assist with the management of lower-complexity litigation
  • Provide legal support for public-sector contracting, monitoring bidding procedures and direct-award contracting processes
  • Review tender notices and solicitation documents, identify legal risks and requirements, and prepare the documentation required to participate in public procurement proceedings
  • Support internal teams throughout contracting processes
  • Monitor the legal execution of contracts with public administration entities, tracking deadlines, renewals, adjustments, economic rebalancing, amendments, and other contractual milestones
  • Draft and review official letters, notices, requests for clarification, challenges to tender notices, administrative appeals, formal submissions, contract amendments, and supporting documents for contracting processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, with or without active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
  • 2 to 4 years of experience
  • Proven experience preferably in public procurement, digital law, technology contracts, and/or LGPD
  • Strong knowledge of LGPD, digital law, and commercial contracts
  • Familiarity with education law is a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
