About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the BTR data collection process, aggregating data from multiple sources and creating reports for underwriting and market knowledge
  • Underwrite, analyze, generate offers and draft investment committee materials for build-to-rent acquisition opportunities
  • Use proprietary data, visualization tools and models to inform investment decisions
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance project management and ensure BTR projects meet critical timelines
  • Work cross-functionally with investment, operational and asset management teams to streamline onboarding of new BTR projects
  • Identify, prioritize and underwrite portfolios of newly built and to-be-constructed single-family residential homes
  • Prepare investment committee materials for BTR portfolios

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or related subject) required
  • 3 years experience as a financial, real estate, or banking analyst required
  • Advanced Excel, Power Point, GIS and database management skills
  • Experience with sourcing, collection and management of market research in a high volume, private equity-like environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and deadlines
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Abstract thinking and creative solutions
  • Some travel required
  • Satisfactory background and drug screen required for employment
