About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide individual therapy, including DBT, Recovery, Trauma Empowerment, and other evidence-based therapies as clinically indicated
- Provide group therapy, including general, DBT Skills, Recovery Awareness, SMART Recovery, Harm Reduction, and other assigned groups
- Maintain exceptional clinical documentation according to company quality indicators
- Perform pre-admission assessments
- Participate in program treatment team meetings and group supervision case consultations
- Participate in monthly program group supervision and individual supervision as assigned
- Support members in navigating the therapeutic community and treatment milieu
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to achieve strong clinical outcomes
- Maintain tailored, person-centered Treatment and Transition Plans and update care plans based on member needs
- Provide family therapy sessions or family meetings when clinically indicated
- Provide backup coverage for co-clinicians and other programs as needed
- Conduct the required number of weekly Pre-Admission Assessments
- Facilitate Big Team meetings
- Participate in mini team, shift exchange, regional sync-up, case consultation, clinical supervision, and other required meetings
- Participate in MCO Reviews as needed
- Provide DBT Skills and other therapeutic or clinical education and coaching to the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Complete clinical documentation, assessments, treatment plans, safety plans, PAAs, BPS, and other treatment documents
- Consult with providers within Project Transition and at other agencies
- Complete assigned Relias trainings
- Obtain continuing education credits to maintain clinical licensure; unlicensed clinicians should pursue full clinical licensure
- Provide off-hours crisis consultation to program staff as needed
- Follow the Employee Manual, company policies and procedures, process maps, performance guidelines, and coverage-plan requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Apply physical restraint techniques in emergency situations after required crisis de-escalation and restraint-method training
- Complete incident reporting according to facility policy and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Possesses a clinical license in the state of employment as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Psychologist (PsyD., Ph.D.); license eligible will be considered
- Desired minimum of 3 years of experience providing comprehensive care for individuals with multi-diagnostic psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders, as well as IDD/ASD diagnoses, in a residential setting (preferred)
- 2 years minimum of direct clinical experience
- Ability and interest in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong teamwork and mentoring ability highly desired
- Valid, non-commercial driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate company vehicles in accordance with safety regulations
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others and independently
- Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
- Self-initiator
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain HIPAA compliant
- Must give minimum of 4 weeks notice for resignation
