About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter solutions
- Participate in the analysis, design, and estimation of solutions
- Configure and integrate new products into Guidewire systems
- Map products, coverages, benefits, risks, and related data
- Translate business requirements and product rules into configurations and technical solutions
- Verify the consistency of data and product rules across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter
- Participate in testing new products and changes to existing products
- Contribute to performance optimization, application security, and code quality
- Support production systems and contribute to issue resolution
- Collaborate on Agile activities, ceremonies, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Participate in integration and configuration using Gosu, plugin development, Cloud API integration, and frameworks such as Apache Camel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience developing on the Guidewire platform, with knowledge of PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter
- Experience adding, configuring, and mapping insurance products in Guidewire
- Strong understanding of insurance product components, including coverages, benefits, risks, rules, and associated data
- Proficiency in Gosu and solid object-oriented development skills with Java
- Experience with the Spring Framework
- Strong SQL skills
- Knowledge of cloud environments, particularly AWS
- Experience with Git and GitHub
- Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Nexus
- Experience with test automation, including JUnit/GUnit, Selenium, JMeter, BDD approaches, or equivalent tools
- Ability to analyze business requirements and collaborate with technical and functional teams
