About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and document the functional capabilities required to meet business needs
- Determine the applications and services involved in the solutions and assess their impacts
- Develop IT directions supporting the selected solutions
- Produce solution architecture documentation, including coverage of non-functional requirements
- Describe and explain solutions using architectural diagrams and models, ideally in ArchiMate
- Support teams in the detailed design and integration of solutions
- Develop transition, coexistence, conversion, and decommissioning strategies
- Communicate with business, functional, developer, management, scrum master, and delivery lead audiences
- Ensure solutions comply with the organization’s policies, standards, and strategic directions
- Define and enforce best development practices for Guidewire’s cloud solution
- Mentor developers and serve as a technical reference for the Guidewire suite
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hold a university degree in computer science or equivalent training
- Have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a solution architect or in a related role
- Have at least five (5) years of experience with the Guidewire suite
- Demonstrate significant experience as a solution architect on project-based initiatives
- Have experience with application integration (APIs, Web Services, event-driven architecture)
- Effectively manage priorities, plan work, and operate in a matrix environment
- Be proficient in one or more architecture frameworks and in the ArchiMate notation
- Be proficient in the concepts and methods for deploying application solutions on on-premises and cloud infrastructures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and CaaS)
- Have experience with microservices architecture
- Be proficient in the Guidewire suite, particularly PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter
- Be familiar with the Guidewire suite APIs
- Be proficient in the Gosu language and in configuring PCF pages for Guidewire products
- Work primarily in French and have functional proficiency in English for daily tasks, documentation, and professional communications
