About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Search, qualify, and place skilled trades candidates at customer construction sites
Provide customer service and support to applicants
Implement cost-effective recruitment functions
Process field employee and customer referrals and contact inactive field employees weekly
Maintain an active network of trade contacts
Source and recruit qualified candidates for specific openings
Develop and implement recruiting strategies through recruiting media and associations
Participate in networking opportunities with construction associations
Conduct pre-employment screening and reference checks
Communicate job skills and expectations to placed employees
Review candidate experience and training to ensure safe and effective placements
Process customer orders by assigning employees to customer sites based on skills and job requirements
Maintain accurate and complete assignment information in Avionte
Keep employee information current and accurate in the system
Counsel, coach, and take disciplinary action with service employees when necessary
Support staffing coverage and minimize overtime within the branch office
Assist with procedure, policy, and form improvements
Cross-train with other business functions to provide backup
Support the Branch Manager/RVP with day-to-day business operations, compliance, employee performance, and customer satisfaction
Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience within skilled trade positions and a skilled trades environment
Knowledge of construction safety requirements
Familiarity with tools/equipment used in construction
Familiarity with multiple construction trades
Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong knowledge of Avionte ATS
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
Strong team player with respect and appreciation for diversity
Flexibility to adapt to a changing business environment
Dependability and reliability
Ability to analyze information quickly, make decisions, and solve problems
Bilingual Spanish and English skills may be required
Ability to travel to other branch offices or customer locations/construction sites as needed
High school graduate
Experience in a customer service environment
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
