Key responsibilities & impact

Inspect building damage at loss sites and estimate repair costs
Establish the value of various items associated with buildings
Follow up with the claims adjuster, policyholder, and various stakeholders (contractors, restoration professionals, etc.)
Stay up to date on material and labour costs, as well as new technologies
Comply with the mandate assigned by the claims adjuster
Submit the report and all relevant information to the claims adjuster responsible for the file, enabling them to determine the compensation payable to the policyholder
Provide an opinion on the probable cause of the loss, the depreciation of property, and whether a notice should be submitted to Underwriting
