About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own a portfolio of sponsor and CRO accounts as the primary relationship owner and point of contact
  • Maintain account health and retention
  • Build senior-level relationships with clinical operations leaders and study teams
  • Advise clients on trial recruitment and operations
  • Run regular business reviews to demonstrate value and align on account strategy
  • Own escalation and issue resolution in partnership with Customer Success, Support, and Product
  • Own revenue and expansion targets for the account portfolio
  • Build account plans identifying new studies, sites, or platform modules for existing accounts
  • Prospect and qualify new opportunities within existing accounts
  • Track and report pipeline generated from existing accounts against quarterly growth targets
  • Position new features and platform capabilities based on clients' trial needs
  • Lead end-to-end proposal processes for account expansions, including RFP responses and competitive positioning
  • Partner with leadership on pricing, packaging, and contract terms
  • Negotiate and close renewal and expansion agreements
  • Coordinate with Clinical Operations on handoff and kickoff after contract signature
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Clinical Operations, Marketing, and Product
  • Maintain visibility into account structures, goals, and upcoming trials to anticipate needs and identify opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in account management, business development, or another client-facing revenue role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of owning renewal or expansion targets and closing deals with senior-level stakeholders
  • Experience running a full sales or renewal cycle, including prospecting and qualifying opportunities, building proposals, negotiating terms, and closing
  • Comfortable leading pricing conversations and contract negotiations
  • Strong consultative and relationship-building skills with director-level and above stakeholders
  • At least 1-2 years of direct, indirect, or cross-functional team leadership experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including running executive-level business reviews
  • Proficiency with a CRM, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, and account health tracking tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 20-25% of the time for client business
  • Background in life sciences, clinical trials, or healthcare technology is preferred
  • Familiarity with clinical trial recruitment, prescreening, decentralized trial models, or real-world evidence/real-world data offerings is preferred
  • Experience selling or supporting SaaS platforms into regulated or highly technical buyers is preferred
  • Experience responding to RFPs and leading competitive or bid-defense conversations is preferred
  • Role is remote, based anywhere in the United States
