About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape Prose's global scientific communication strategy, aligned with brand positioning and priorities
- Establish narrative structure and tone of voice defining scientific authority across key communication territories and ingredients
- Translate ingredient information and product testing data into clear, engaging narratives and claims
- Act as a creative catalyst on new ingredients, technology, and testing communication opportunities
- Review and approve final test results, providing technical interpretation with partner teams
- Build and maintain technical and scientific dossiers for new product launches and renovations
- Support oral presentations, posters, and peer-reviewed articles when relevant
- Maintain scientific and competitive intelligence on technologies, ingredients, communication territories, and claims opportunities
- Prospect new raw materials, biological targets, and technologies through supplier relationships and intelligence
- Infuse scientific culture across the organization and build dialogue between science and non-scientific teams
- Partner with R&D, Marketing, CX, Digital Product, Evaluation, and Regulatory Affairs teams on claims, testing, communications assets, and scientific questions
- Articulate complex scientific concepts to audiences with varying levels of scientific literacy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong scientific/technical background (cosmetic science, dermatology, biology, or related field)
- 5 to 10 years of experience in scientific communication, claims substantiation, or R&D-marketing liaison roles, ideally in beauty/cosmetics or a related regulated industry
- Strong appetite for AI tools and agentic AI, with a genuine curiosity for experimenting with several AI-amplified projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French a plus
- Creative thinker who challenges the status quo and looks for differentiating angles
- Solution- and business-oriented mindset
- Comfortable as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on doer; flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities
- Natural team player and cross-functional leader
- Rigorous, tenacious, results-oriented, with strong project management skills
