About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help oversee the ISSO Support Department
- Maintain security compliance, documentation accuracy, and continuous monitoring for government systems
- Oversee POA&M tracking, RMF documentation updates, vulnerability status maintenance, audit preparation, and system owner coordination
- Ensure systems remain compliant with FISMA and NIST requirements
- Support and execute continuous RMF compliance, system documentation upkeep, and security control implementation
- Serve as senior technical authority for ISSO functions
- Support system-level cybersecurity governance tasks and ensure accuracy of SSPs, artifacts, and monitoring metrics
- Oversee continuous monitoring
- Verify security control implementation
- Follow through on vulnerability scanning
- Populate and close POA&Ms
- Develop, review, and update SSPs
- Coordinate assessment cycles and A&A preparations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years as an ISSO or information security analyst
- Strong knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and POA&M processes
- Experience with governance tools such as Archer and CSAM
- IAT/IAM Level II certification or higher required
- Minimum active Public Trust security clearance required
- ProSync is not able to sponsor candidates for a security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in any field
- Technical specialization preferred
