About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with External Wholesaler(s) in geographical sales territories
  • Create new and manage existing relationships with representatives to increase Protective product revenue and achieve territory sales goals
  • Service representatives primarily through phone and email communication
  • Make proactive daily sales calls to new and existing representatives
  • Conduct sales campaigns, pursue new business opportunities, make follow-up meeting calls, and complete other directed calls
  • Maintain existing relationships to drive repeat producers
  • Make prospecting calls and pass qualified leads to External Wholesalers
  • Provide product education, answer questions, and compare Protective products with competitors
  • Create sales opportunities and execute follow-up through the sales pipeline
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan with the External Wholesaler to maximize territory sales growth
  • Maintain representative profile information and sales activity in Protective databases
  • Execute campaigns using Protective systems to generate territory sales leads and meaningful follow-up

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior insurance or investment sales experience recommended
  • Must be adaptable and highly flexible to meet the needs of External Wholesalers and the insurance industry
  • Ability to work in a challenging and collaborative environment
  • Competitive spirit and personal drive to succeed
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized self-starter with high energy and creativity
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Series 6, Series 63, SIE, and Life license
