About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work hands-on with strategic global enterprise customers to design and deliver computer vision solutions
- Code integrations, configure edge video pipelines, and drive deployments through completion
- Enable customers to use Protex AI computer vision capabilities for automated hazard detection and operational transformation
- Partner with plant managers, corporate EHS leaders, and IT directors to understand operational environments and architect risk-reduction solutions
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to deliver solutions
- Translate edge-case customer requirements into productized capabilities
- Establish best practices, reusable integration frameworks, and internal tools for the Forward Deployed Engineering function
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience building or deploying SaaS platforms or edge systems with real-world enterprise usage
- Strong interest in computer vision and edge AI
- Ability to build technical intuition for video streaming pipelines, object detection models, and their trade-offs and real-world edge limits
- Deep knowledge of at least one core language, such as Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code quickly while maintaining security, performance, and clear business outcomes
- Proficient in consuming and building APIs
- Proficient in handling event-driven webhooks
- Excellent communication across technical and executive audiences
- Willingness to travel periodically to customer manufacturing sites, warehouses, and industrial facilities
- Ability or willingness to relocate if not based near company offices, including Dublin, Boston, London, Limerick, or Budapest
