About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate ice arena operations
- Schedule employees, ice schedules, private reservations, group reservations, facilities, and access
- Maintain cooperative relationships with schools, program participants, and community resources
- Supervise front counter, concessions, custodial, facility maintenance, and general operations
- Oversee recruiting, evaluating, training, and supervising assigned staff
- Identify and resolve performance issues, including enacting discipline under a supervisor’s direction
- Develop marketing strategies and materials for programs
- Evaluate programs and identify successes, deficiencies, and improvements
- Oversee budget creation for assigned responsibilities
- Oversee daily deposits and proper cash handling
- Order supplies and authorize material purchases
- Assist staff and the public and perform related duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or closely related field for Coordinator I
- Equivalent combinations of job-related education and experience accepted, substituting each 1 year of post-secondary education/training for 6 months of experience
- Valid, lawful Driver License
- One year of experience in recreational program management for Coordinator II
- Preference given to candidates with experience in business administration, operations, and/or supervision
- Must work 40 hours per week
- Some evening and weekend work required
- Must successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check if selected for hire
