About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Instruct participants ages four to adult in ice hockey from beginning to intermediate level
- Assist youth Street Hockey league
- Assist Recreation staff members
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sufficient amount of related skill and/or experience demonstrating ability to perform the duties of the job
- Preference given to candidates who have previously instructed or have ice skating experience
- Physical strength and agility
- Ability to stand and/or ice skate during instruction and perform minor bending
- Ability to work outside in cold and other weather conditions
- Ability to work with the public in possibly stressful situations
- If selected for hire, successful drug screen and criminal background check required
