Library Circulation Clerk
Provo City. Perform customer service tasks, including checking in and out materials, accepting fines, answering phones, inputting computer data, processing library card applications, greeting and assisting children and adults with facility and material use, and handling money in a cashiering capacity .
About the role

- Reshelve books
- Clean and perform simple repairs on library materials
- Assist library staff as needed and perform other related work as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to read, spell, alphabetize, count, follow directions, and interact with the public at a level sufficient to perform the duties of the position
- May require ability to handle monies in a cashiering capacity
- May require data input on computer terminal menus
- Library experience and strong public relations/customer service skills desired
- Must meet the minimum requirements to be eligible for consideration
- If selected for hire, must successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be available approximately 20–24 hours per week, including weeknights and weekends
- Ability to bend, stretch, shelve books on eight-foot shelves, push and pull book carts weighing up to 175–200 pounds, stand for up to four hours at a time, lift up to 25 pounds, and deal with the public in sometimes stressful situations
