About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist children to and from school at designated crosswalks at the assigned post
Assist the crossing guard supervisor as needed
Perform other related duties as required
Work approximately 40–50 minute shifts
Work outdoors in all weather conditions, around heavy traffic, and stand and walk for extended periods

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be able to respond to the work site twice per day
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic
Visual and hearing abilities sufficient to safely perform the duties
Good rapport with children
At least 18 years of age
Own transportation
If selected for hire, must successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check
