About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Recommend and prioritise the events calendar, building investment cases aligned with company objectives
  • Run events from start to finish, including logistics, supplier negotiation, collateral, merchandise and budget tracking
  • Launch and grow Proximie's own events programme, including roundtables and webinars
  • Create and repurpose content before, during and after events across multiple channels
  • Support speaking opportunities and prepare talking points and presentations
  • Own pre- and post-event outreach with Sales and provide content for lead follow-up
  • Hand leads to Demand Generation with full context for ongoing nurture
  • Build and improve event processes between Marketing and Sales, using HubSpot and AI tools such as Claude
  • Measure event performance, focusing on lead generation and brand exposure, and use results to shape future activity
  • Report to the Brand and Communications Manager and collaborate with Sales and marketing functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years in events or field marketing, with hands-on content and copywriting experience
  • Experience in a B2B tech scale-up or startup, delivering events without a large team
  • Commercial mindset and ability to build business cases for events
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Confidence managing stakeholders from senior speakers to suppliers
  • Comfortable with autonomy and pace; collaborative and adaptable
  • Experience with HubSpot
  • Appetite for using AI to work smarter
  • Comfortable using data to make decisions
  • Experience in healthcare, medtech or health tech (nice to have)
  • Experience running events across the UK, US or Middle East (nice to have)
