About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct detailed risk assessments and control reviews for existing processes, new products, and initiatives
- Identify, assess, and document key operational risks and controls
- Review and analyze errors, incidents, and other risk events
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective measures, including assisting with implementation
- Report to senior management on key operational risks, significant risk events, outstanding issues, and other topics
- Assist with collection and reporting of key risk indicators, top risks, and other risk-related metrics
- Promote Prudential’s Operational Risk Management framework across PGIM Credit businesses
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate emerging risks and external events
- Collaborate with Fixed Income and Private Credit Portfolio Managers and business support functions
- Serve as Internal Audit liaison, including audit planning and coordination
- Assist with development, monitoring, and closure of audit-related action plans
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley and SOC1 annual reviews, including scope determination and audit/issues management
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit on risk and control matters
- Assist with management, policy requirements, and monitoring of Models, Artificial Intelligence, and End User Computing Solutions
- Support PGIM Credit business transformation while assessing and mitigating risks from business and technology changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive business knowledge in the fixed income industry, including public fixed income and private credit
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle activities and operational support
- Minimum of 5 years of Audit and/or Operational Risk Management experience in the Asset Management industry
- Previous experience in a global organization
- Experience facilitating risk and control self-assessments
- Experience reporting and analyzing internal and external risk events
- Experience developing key risk indicators
- Experience performing scenario analysis
- Analytical mindset and ability to identify, assess, and mitigate key risks
- Ability to perform root cause analysis
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive change while retaining independence
- Highly ethical individual with a strong moral compass
- Ability to effectively challenge management while partnering effectively with them
- Results-oriented and able to transform strategy into action
- Excellent project management and multitasking skills
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Excellent relationship management skills in a cross-functional environment
- CFA, MBA, or similar certification/credentials a plus
