About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the annual, quarterly and agile planning cadence for Communications
  • Translate enterprise priorities into clear, sequenced and actionable plans across SLT teams
  • Establish planning governance, decision forums, service tiers and tradeoff mechanisms
  • Lead and develop the Strategic Planning pillar team, including strategic planning operations, strategic narrative design support and intake
  • Partner with the Head of Strategy & Integration, CCO, senior Communications leaders and SLT stakeholders
  • Surface priorities, dependencies, decisions and risks to enable faster alignment
  • Use intake, planning and status signals to make demand, resource pressure and tradeoffs visible
  • Determine what Communications takes on, sequences or declines
  • Ensure planning outputs, executive updates and GLT-ready materials demonstrate Communications’ contribution to strategy, transformation, reputation and stakeholder confidence
  • Report to the Head of Strategy & Integration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10–15 years of experience in corporate communications, strategic planning, business operations, management consulting, or a premier communications agency environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-level priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Strategy or a related field
  • Ability to translate business strategy into integrated communications plans, governance rhythms, planning cadences and decision frameworks
  • Strong executive presence and consultative communication skills
  • Ability to advise, influence and build trust with C-suite leaders, SLT members and senior cross-functional partners
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and developing talent
  • Strong command of enterprise communications principles, intake and prioritization models, agile planning practices and workflow platforms such as Workfront
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, surface tradeoffs and drive alignment
  • Advanced degree or equivalent enterprise leadership experience preferred
