About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle preparatory accounting for management and administrative companies
  • Record and pre-code invoices and receipts, and prepare payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts and supporting documents, and prepare materials for the tax advisor
  • Serve as the ongoing point of contact for the tax advisor
  • Establish and maintain a digital document filing system
  • Organize the day-to-day operations of the Berlin office
  • Ensure that the team, founders, and guests feel comfortable in the office
  • Support the preparation and hosting of political evenings, industry events, and community formats
  • Negotiate and manage service providers and contracts
  • Support the team with travel bookings and expense reports
  • Maintain and further develop the document structure
  • Take on special projects, such as introducing new tools, streamlining processes, or further developing the office

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed commercial training or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in preparatory accounting
  • Proficiency in handling invoices and receipts, account coding, and payment processing
  • Solid foundational knowledge of accounting
  • Confident using Excel
  • Excellent German and good English skills
  • Independent, proactive, and meticulous working style
  • Willingness to take responsibility
  • Ability to work in a relaxed start-up environment while maintaining high quality standards
  • DATEV experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience with holding, management, or investment companies—ideally in a venture capital or private equity environment—is a plus but not required
  • Experience in office management or procurement within a small team is a plus but not required
