About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Speak with nonprofit supporters by phone
- Discuss serious social and human-rights issues with empathy and confidence
- Ask questions and build genuine rapport
- Turn complex issues into understandable, compelling stories
- Explain how nonprofit organizations are taking action
- Ask supporters to become long-term monthly donors
- Respond thoughtfully to questions, concerns and objections
- Work toward clear fundraising goals
- Participate in ongoing coaching, workshops and feedback
- Support campaigns involving human rights, humanitarian aid, equality, reproductive rights, civil liberties, displaced communities, and children and families
- Complete an internet-speed and voice-connection technology check during hiring
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must reside in Colorado, United States
- Must commit to 40 hours per week
- Must be available Monday-Friday, with shifts scheduled between 11 AM and 9 PM in local time
- Desktop or laptop running Windows 11 or newer
- Reliable high-speed internet with at least 50 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload
- Wired headset with microphone
- Private, quiet workspace
- Wired Ethernet strongly preferred
- Basic technical confidence and ability to troubleshoot simple issues
- MacBooks are not compatible with the calling system
- Must be comfortable discussing important human-rights and social-impact issues
- Must be comfortable making a direct fundraising ask
- Strong communication, storytelling, persuasion and listening abilities
- Resilience when hearing “no”
- Ability to work toward measurable goals and accept coaching and feedback
- Ability to remain focused and accountable while working remotely
- Voice or video introduction required during the application process
- No previous fundraising experience required
