About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide professional clinical support through established standards and practices
  • Coordinate efficient and safe patient care through information collection, patient rooming, and assisting with or performing designated procedures
  • Coordinate patient care, including direct patient care, information gathering, and transitions of care
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of patient care
  • Establish and maintain communication and collaboration with colleagues, patients, and community members
  • Plan and prioritize patient care plans and daily clinic operations
  • Interview patients and caregivers to assist in patient care planning
  • Document patient care conversations, care provided, and other work in the EMR
  • Coordinate care for a defined patient panel according to organizational standards
  • Make decisions based on professional judgment within the legal scope of practice
  • Promote a positive work environment and professional patient service
  • Train, demonstrate, or guide others, including new staff and medical assistants in training
  • Travel between clinic locations as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Maintain licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington
  • Active BLS (basic life support) certification
  • Ability to perform the required technical skills for a medical assistant
  • Ability to perform the required technical skills for the specific clinic
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology
  • Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the clinic and organization
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, patients, and customers
  • Strong typing skills
  • Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions
  • Experience in an ambulatory clinic setting is a plus
