About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Consult with homebuyers to identify insurance needs and recommend coverage solutions
- Sell homeowners, auto, flood, umbrella, and other personal lines insurance products
- Evaluate risk and recommend appropriate coverage options
- Cross-sell and bundle policies to maximize customer value
- Partner with lenders, title companies, and closing teams to ensure timely insurance placement
- Maintain a high level of customer service throughout the homebuying process
- Meet and exceed sales and performance goals
- Accurately document customer interactions and sales activity within agency systems
- Place coverage tailored to the needs of builder clients and their homebuyers
- Maintain strong relationships with builder partners and their customers
- Contribute to agency growth by delivering exceptional service and leveraging captive advantages
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Minimum 2 years of experience in homeowners insurance, preferably in a captive or builder-affiliated agency, or auto insurance
- Strong knowledge of multi-state Property & Casualty insurance products and underwriting guidelines
- Familiarity with Department of Insurance regulations and builder sales processes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and CRM systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
