About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee product teams to ensure sprint backlogs are managed, commitments are reasonable, stories are actively swarmed, sprint goals are delivered, and quality and performance expectations are met
Ensure product teams understand business context, product vision, user stories, and sprint goals
Develop and negotiate team working agreements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done
Support product teams in self-organization, cross-functional collaboration, team dynamics, and interpersonal skills
Protect product teams from interruptions, manage risks, and remove impediments
Assess teams and programs and provide continuous-improvement recommendations
Help teams reflect and improve their effectiveness, predictability, teamwork, and practices
Develop, lead, and facilitate workshops involving story mapping, user and persona creation, value-stream mapping, product road-mapping, project inception, and launch
Educate individuals across organizational levels on agile principles, best practices, and tools
Manage agile ceremonies and activities, including stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, agile board management, and retrospectives
Partner with product managers and product owners on release plans and backlog refinement, prioritization, and transparency
Assist with dependency management, cross-team testing and delivery coordination, and release management/support
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
University degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6–8 years of prior relevant experience
3+ years of Scrum/Agile experience
Excellent working knowledge of agile frameworks, ceremonies, processes, roles, and responsibilities
3+ years of experience collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver quantifiable business value
Excellent communication skills
Group facilitation skills and ability to navigate conflict constructively
Excellent leadership and people skills
Experience with Azure DevOps, MS Teams, and MS SharePoint
Professional Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Master credential preferred
May require travel
