Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, implement, optimize, and maintain access to cloud-based AI technologies for IT teams, researchers, and faculty
Deploy and debug cloud stacks
Develop and implement policies for using AI through cloud infrastructure and software services
Manage requests for new technology
Establish a secure cloud environment
Ensure appropriate availability of services
Educate teams on new cloud and AI initiatives
Ensure cloud infrastructure security
Create and maintain automation procedures
Contribute to operating procedures supporting the AI and cloud infrastructure environment
Identify optimal cloud and AI-based solutions for business needs
Maintain cloud infrastructures according to best practices and security policies
Stay current with industry trends
Participate in on-call rotation with infrastructure teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field
At least three (3) years of experience in cloud computing
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure
Proficiency in networking
Troubleshooting and analytical skills
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to interact with a variety of customers in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Purdue University will not sponsor employment authorization for this position
Participation in an on-call rotation with infrastructure teams
