About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and take ownership of assigned month-end tasks across group entities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Help maintain the general ledger and support reporting across the Australian parent and subsidiaries
- Prepare GST/BAS and other core compliance obligations
- Support AR and AP teams, resolve issues and provide cover where needed
- Perform bank, balance sheet and control account reconciliations; investigate and clear variances
- Maintain accurate records and transactions in NetSuite
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis and process improvement
- Report directly to the Senior Financial Accountant
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Commerce
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, with exposure across GL, AR and AP
- Prior month-end experience and understanding of the underlying logic
- Working knowledge of GST/BAS and core compliance
- Solid Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal English, essential for working with the Australia-based team
- High attention to detail, well-organised and deadline-driven
- Some exposure to or understanding of external/statutory audit
- Experience supporting an Australian company or Australian clients
- Experience across a group/multiple entities
- NetSuite experience or another ERP such as SAP, Oracle or MYOB
- Comfortable collaborating with an overseas team across time zones
- Reliable and discreet when handling sensitive financial information
- Ability to work Australian Business Hours
