About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and schedule adherence
- Perform production area start-ups, shutdowns, and line changeovers
- Verify production materials against the Bill of Materials
- Document daily production performance and issues
- Maintain continual production to maximize daily output
- Perform routine product quality testing, visual inspections, audits, and documentation reviews
- Enter data in Syspro to close jobs and print pallet placards
- Direct production team efforts to meet targets
- Serve as backup for production associates and line operators during breaks or absences
- Train, coach, and cross-train machine operators and team members
- Enforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture
- Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S-compliant manufacturing environment
- Motivate, engage, and support team members
- Report to the Production Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have good listening and interpersonal communications skills
- Must be able to effectively drive production team to meet the standards
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting
- Syspro experience a plus
- Ability to read and write basic English
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Must comply with OSHA requirements and safety policies
- Ability to perform equipment operations, material handling, gauging, documentation, and safety requirements
- Ability to read and follow work orders, SOPs, quality specifications, and production documentation
