About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead cybersecurity incident response workstreams across client environments
- Coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery activities
- Manage response plans, escalation paths, and case priorities during security events and investigations
- Analyze alerts, log data, and threat intelligence to identify attack patterns, affected assets, and likely impact
- Direct root cause analysis and translate findings into remediation actions
- Coach team members on incident handling, forensic review, and documentation practices
- Review investigation notes and deliverables for technical accuracy, timeline clarity, and client readiness
- Develop client-facing briefings on incident status, response actions, and recommended security operations improvements
- Advance vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident management capabilities through process improvements and tool use
- Apply cybersecurity frameworks, governance practices, and security architecture knowledge to guide response strategies
- Identify opportunities to strengthen cyber defense plans, response playbooks, and resilience across critical systems
- Motivate, develop, and coach team members; manage performance across client workstreams
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Business Administration/Management, Computer and Information Science, Information CyberSecurity, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering
- Incident response leadership across cyber defense engagements
- Experience managing client-facing response workstreams and engagement timelines
- Ability to analyze threat activity, log data, and remediation options
- Ability to mentor teams through pressure, ambiguity, and escalations
- Knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk, and mitigation methods
- Experience utilizing cybersecurity frameworks, threat intelligence, and security operations
- Ability to travel up to 60%
- Must not require PwC sponsorship through the H-1B lottery, except as set forth in PwC's policy
