Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set strategic direction for artificial intelligence engineering solutions supporting tax innovation initiatives
  • Lead client-facing AI engagements from concept through deployment
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical approaches
  • Design and implement machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing models for tax and data use cases
  • Oversee data wrangling, feature development, model tuning, and AI system integration into software platforms
  • Develop Python-based solutions for text analytics, text extraction, and sentiment analysis workflows
  • Advise on AI implementation approaches balancing technical feasibility, scalability, and business value
  • Build executive relationships and identify opportunities for AI-driven services
  • Promote responsible use of open source software and emerging AI technologies
  • Mentor teams and shape technical direction across multiple initiatives
  • Validate adherence to professional standards, code of conduct, and independence requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least a Bachelor's degree
  • At least 9 years of experience
  • Preferred field of study: Analytics/Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Robotics, Computer Science/Information Systems, or Engineering
  • Certifications aligned to data engineering, machine learning, and cloud platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or related data and AI credentials
  • AI engineering leadership in tax-focused client settings
  • Experience applying machine learning and cloud platforms to client solutions
  • Ability to translate tax requirements into AI-enabled technical designs
  • Experience guiding teams through innovation, governance, and delivery choices
  • Experience developing thought leadership on emerging tax automation approaches
  • Ability to comply with professional standards, code of conduct, and independence requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Must not require, now or in the future, PwC sponsorship through the H-1B lottery, except as permitted by PwC policy
