About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, maintain, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure on-premise or in the cloud using Azure and AWS
  • Monitor system performance and analyze logs to troubleshoot CPU, memory, storage, and network issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and migrations
  • Automate routine tasks and deployments using shell scripting, Python, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and SSH access according to security policies
  • Perform patch management, kernel upgrades, and software installations using YUM, APT, and Zypper
  • Design, implement, and test backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery procedures
  • Deploy and manage KVM, VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes platforms
  • Integrate Linux servers with LDAP and Active Directory
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a 24/7 support model
  • Maintain current knowledge of Linux technologies, security practices, and industry standards
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, change records, and operational runbooks
  • Engage in learning and contribute to client projects within PwC Acceleration Center India
  • Build client connections and collaborate with global cross-functional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least a Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, or SUSE
  • Oral and written proficiency in English required
  • RHCE or LPIC certification is a preferred qualification
  • Familiarity with ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, or Nagios
  • Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or PCI DSS
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Terraform
  • Experience utilizing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for hybrid-cloud architectures
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure optimization and migration strategies
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and a 24/7 support model
