About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and manage client engagements within the Deals practice, focusing on financial due diligence
Supervise, develop and coach teams
Manage client service accounts and assigned client engagement workstreams
Analyze complex financial and non-financial data to support strategic client decision-making
Prepare financial due diligence reports
Communicate due diligence findings using a cloud-based platform
Perform data-driven financial and accounting diligence analysis
Communicate with PwC network offices on project deliverables
Guide team members on KPIs and key financial drivers
Execute, lead and independently manage FDD projects
Ensure team members deliver quality service according to client needs and priorities
Monitor and improve client service and drive excellence in service delivery
Manage multiple large- to medium-size projects and prioritize team activities
Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined geographical area
Produce assignment budgets and timetables and manage delivery against them
Review deliverable quality, including research accuracy, data presentation, reasoning, language and scope comprehensiveness
Identify, develop and implement project best practices
Define needs for new information sources and provide feedback on new sources
Manage team efficiency and productivity and ensure adherence to Deals FDD workflow protocols and tools
Assist with capacity planning, competency mapping and resource recruitment
Apply in-depth subject knowledge to deliverables and understand related disciplines
Identify research approaches and execute research to produce project outputs
Provide expert reviews for projects within the assigned subject

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must possess a CA / MBA qualification or have equivalent work experience
Industry experience in Energy, Utilities, Mining and Infrastructure; Financial Services; Healthcare and Pharma; Industrial Manufacturing and Services; Retail, Consumer and Leisure; Real Estate; or Technology, Media and Telecommunications
Ability to identify key drivers of a business and potential deal breakers, financial and non-financial
Understanding of due diligence processes, including risk management processes and procedures
Excellent business writing and Excel skills
Experience with Alteryx, Power BI and other data analytics and visualisation tools
Excellent analytical skills and commercial awareness
Interpersonal skills, including nurturing talented teams, mentoring and developing staff, and interacting confidently with clients and management
Strong interest and knowledge of mergers and acquisitions
Exceptional analytical skills relating to financial and strategic business trends
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
Self-motivated with a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development
Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and fulfil them in a timely, high-standard manner
Teamwork and relationship-building skills
