About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare partnership tax returns and related supporting schedules for private clients and privately owned businesses
- Gather, organize, and validate tax data from client records, prior returns, and internal sources
- Draft tax documents, calculations, and workpapers supporting filing positions and compliance activities
- Reconcile account balances and review financial information to identify discrepancies and follow-up items
- Research tax rules, legislation updates, and filing requirements
- Apply tax compliance and documentation standards across personal income tax, trust tax, and partnership tax matters
- Monitor deadlines and status updates for timely completion of recurring tax preparation tasks
- Communicate findings, questions, and needed information to team members and client contacts
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 1 year of experience
- Knowledge of partnership tax preparation for private clients
- Experience preparing tax documents, returns, and trust documents
- Ability to gather information from varied sources and identify patterns
- Ability to actively listen, ask questions, and clearly express ideas
- Ability to learn professional tax standards and independence requirements
- Ability to adapt to client needs in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in one of the listed locations: New York, New York; Dallas, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; or Houston, Texas
