About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and configure Appian Records, including Record Types, relationships, views, actions, queries, security, and Record Events
- Develop Appian-based workflow applications supporting regulatory risk and compliance processes
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, process models, and configurable application components
- Configure forms, records, interfaces, reports, and data integrations within Appian
- Analyze process gaps and recommend automation approaches
- Support testing, defect resolution, and deployment readiness
- Collaborate with project leads and client stakeholders to clarify priorities, manage scope, and track deliverables
- Review junior team members’ technical work and provide guidance
- Apply compliance frameworks, regulatory reporting, and risk-control knowledge to application functionality
- Troubleshoot platform issues and support stable, maintainable solutions
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
- Configure Interactions Hub based on user stories and business and functional requirements
- Perform Appian application health checks, analyze findings, and implement remediation actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/BE)
- At least 4–8 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
- Proficiency in integrating Appian with external systems
- Experience with SIT and UAT processes
- Proficiency in mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
- Appian Level 2 (Senior Developer) certification is mandatory
- Appian development experience supporting regulatory risk compliance projects
- Familiarity with designing, developing/configuring, and testing Appian integrations
- Ability to support technical configuration activities including group and security configuration, database rules, validations, calculation logic, and reference data definition
- Experience leading teams and technical discussions with leadership and clients
