About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Structure operational, logistics, and planning challenges as analytical problems under uncertainty
- Contribute to analysis of trade-offs involving capacity, inventory, risk, service levels, and timing
- Apply quantitative techniques with appropriate rigor
- Build and support quantitative analyses including supply chain network and flow analysis, inventory planning under uncertainty, capacity/throughput/bottleneck analysis, and scenario/probabilistic simulation
- Support model testing, sensitivity analysis, and validation
- Develop and maintain analytics code, models, and documentation
- Work with data from multiple systems and sources
- Document business rules, data requirements, process flows, and reporting logic
- Follow governed, auditable analytics and documentation practices
- Collaborate within project teams to deliver analytical outputs
- Prepare materials and insights for client discussions
- Flag data, modelling, and assumption risks to senior team members
- Work with business and technical stakeholders
- Work closely with Managers and senior team members to translate planning and readiness questions into analytical outputs that inform decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in operations, industrial/systems engineering, computer science, or a closely related quantitative field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field
- Experience applying quantitative or analytical techniques to operations, supply chain, or planning problems in defense, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality and assumptions
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms, system integration concepts, data architecture, and digital workflow enablement is an asset
- Military experience encouraged
- Mandatory Security Clearance for staff engaged on these assignments; eligibility requirements must be met before applying
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for non-technical audiences
- Available for work visa sponsorship
