About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively deliver outsourced payroll to clients
- Report to Managers, Directors, and Partners
- Assist junior team members and peers with payroll-related deliverables
- Review outsourced pay runs
- Consult with clients on employment, monthly payroll compliance, and process queries
- Support client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services
- Develop personal and team technical acumen
- Keep current with local and national business and economic issues
- Learn how PwC operates as a global network of firms
- Follow risk management and compliance procedures
- Build and maintain internal and external networks locally, virtually across Canada, and internationally
- Uphold PwC's code of ethics and business conduct
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in multi-jurisdictional payroll processing
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian payroll processing landscape, including Quebec
- Understanding of Canadian employment tax rules and regulations
- Knowledge of payroll delivery and payroll tax authority compliance
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Developed prioritization and project management skills
- Efficient at multitasking with high attention to detail
- Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Fluency in French required when applying to a Quebec-based opportunity; outside Quebec, French is a strong asset
