About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize technology and process improvement to streamline legal processes and enhance client service
- Analyze complex legal compliance issues to provide strategic guidance and support across various industries
- Develop and implement innovative methodologies and tools to deliver Office of General Counsel (OGC) services efficiently
- Manage contractual agreements and conduct risk assessments to minimize legal risks
- Build meaningful client connections and anticipate the needs of teams and clients
- Navigate complex situations while deepening technical skills and growing personal brand
- Interpret data to inform insights and recommendations for legal compliance transformation
- Uphold professional and technical standards, including adherence to the Firm's code of conduct and independence requirements
- Manage and inspire others as a Senior Associate
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of experience
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics
- Experience using AI-enabled or automated tools to support regulatory research, analysis, compliance workflows, dashboards, tracking, and document development
- Experience applying regulatory frameworks such as FERC, NERC, state PUCs, ISO/RTOs, OSHA, EPA, and other federal and state Energy & Utilities requirements
- Experience working within Energy & Utilities environments, including utilities, power generation, renewable energy, and energy infrastructure
- Experience conducting internal audits, compliance reviews, root-cause analyses, and investigations within regulated Energy & Utilities environments
- Analytical thinking to break down complex legal compliance issues
- Experience developing policies and guidelines for contract management and risk assessment
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in regulatory environments with intellectual curiosity
- Effective communication skills for building meaningful client connections
- Ability to embrace change and process improvement in legal managed services
- Ability to interpret data to inform insights and recommendations for client solutions
- Willingness to travel up to 60%
