About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in project teams to conduct fraud and other forensic investigations from financial and accounting perspectives
- Support engagement team leaders and managers across multiple projects through financial data analysis, interviews and electronic data review
- Use forensic technology, computer/electronic-discovery tools to document facts and findings
- Obtain forensic data from computers, servers and mobile devices while ensuring evidential integrity
- Perform quantitative data analysis and data mining
- Consult with clients and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Draft reports and presentations
- Present review findings in closing meetings to engagement teams and client stakeholders
- Pursue and maintain forensic certifications and provide expert testimony
- Support and perform other GRC projects, including internal controls, SOX and IT internal audit reviews, when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 4-6 years of relevant experience in consulting/advisory work, specifically in areas of forensics advisory or law enforcement work will be favourably considered
- A good Bachelor or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Law, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology/Systems or Information Security-related fields
- Adaptable and self-driven learner with high personal integrity and creative problem-solving abilities to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques
- Strong analytical, communications and people skills with natural curiosity to identify, investigate and explain trends and patterns with strong attention to detail
- Flexibility/desire to travel as it is a required element for this position
- Knowledge, experience and credentials in Computer & Mobile Forensics, electronic discovery, memory/network/application forensics, database and network protocols/security, programming, forensic tools, operating systems, file systems, networks, hardware and storage devices
- Experience with Python, Shell scripting, Java, JavaScript or PHP
- User experience in EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Oxygen Forensics, Nuix or Relativity
- EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and/or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications
