About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze payer operations challenges and translate findings into workstream plans supporting transformation initiatives
- Develop client deliverables for health services organizations across process improvement, operating effectiveness reviews, and service delivery model changes
- Assess operations strategy, performance metrics, and business data to identify trends, risks, and process gaps
- Apply management consulting methods and digital tooling to streamline workflows and improve operational execution
- Coordinate project tasks, timelines, and issue logs while adapting to changing client priorities and project scope
- Review junior team members' work and provide feedback supporting accuracy, consistency, and professional growth
- Build client relationships by understanding operational needs and presenting analysis-grounded recommendations
- Use AI fluency, AI-human collaboration, and analytical thinking to support transformation planning and process optimization
- Travel up to 60%
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience
- Preference for study in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Analytics/Data Science, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Government/Public Policy, Health Administration/Public Health, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations/Supply Chain, Organizational Management/Behavior, or Risk Management/Insurance
- Consulting experience supporting payer operations transformation initiatives
- Business data analytics experience for process improvement and performance metrics
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, service delivery models, and change management
- Ability to collaborate across teams and mentor junior colleagues
- Ability to translate complex operational findings into client-ready recommendations
- AI fluency, AI-human collaboration, and analytical thinking
- Must not require, now or in the future, PwC sponsorship through the H-1B lottery, except as set forth in PwC policy
