About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise pharma and life sciences clients on strategic and operational areas throughout the drug development lifecycle
- Analyze complex R&D operations problems and develop actionable insights
- Develop and implement strategies to improve R&D productivity, clinical trial design, and process optimization
- Support organizational design initiatives to streamline R&D functions and improve operational effectiveness
- Utilize decision support tools and analytics across the R&D lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize portfolio and resource management
- Develop and implement operations strategies supporting client growth and innovation
- Document processes and confirm compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Prepare for client workshops and develop executive-ready presentations
- Coordinate project activities to support client relationships and timely delivery
- Guide teams in embracing change and fostering intellectual curiosity
- Build client connections, guide junior team members, mentor others, and contribute to the firm's business strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience
- Preference for study in Analytics/Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Robotics, Biology/Biomedical Sciences, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Engineering, Environmental Science/Sustainability, Health Administration/Public Health, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations/Supply Chain, Project/Technology Management, or Science
- Experience working across pharmaceutical functions such as Strategic Planning, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, or Regulatory Affairs
- Experience supporting R&D activities within contract research organizations (CROs), academic research, regulatory health authorities, or life sciences consulting environments
- Knowledge of the R&D lifecycle, industry trends, and leading practices
- Proficiency in operations management and strategy
- Analytical thinking for data-informed R&D decisions
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and AI in pharma and life sciences
- Experience in R&D lifecycle management, including clinical trial design and process optimization
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies for innovative solutions
- Ability to navigate complex client engagements
- Must not require PwC sponsorship through the H-1B lottery, except as set forth in PwC's policy
